Los incendios que duraron más de un mes en California, Estados Unidos, tomaron a cientos de animales como víctimas.
En el hemisferio norte del mundo, los incendios han sido una tónica, dándose por las altas temperaturas o por accidentes por conexiones eléctricas. Han sido muchas viviendas, negocios, personas y animales que se han visto afectados por ello.
California, es uno de esos lugares que ha sufrido los embates de estos incendios durante más de un mes, lo cual ha logrado destruir más de 1.000 viviendas y negocios, y manteniendo a más de 15.000 estructuras bajo amenaza.
Otra de las cosas que más le ha preocupado a los bomberos y rescatistas, es la vida silvestre en esas zonas. Un ejemplo de ello son los osos pardo, que viven en esos lugares y han terminado siendo víctimas de las llamas.
Ahora bien, luego de los incendios causados por Dixie, unos bomberos lograron encontrar a un cachorro oso en muy mal estado, está demacrado y solitario. Los bomberos presumen que pudo haber quedado huérfano, tal vez su madre murió como producto del desastre forestal en el norte de California.
Johnnie Macy, quien es bombero y ha hecho sus labores en esa zona, dijo a la prensa local que “Por lo general, cuando los ves con una madre osa, se quedan con la madre osa y huyen”, “Este oso no hizo eso, por eso creemos que el oso se quedó huérfano como resultado del incendio”.
Macy afirma que llegaron a esa conclusión, pues, estuvieron haciéndole seguimiento al pequeño por varios días, y solo lo vieron divagando y saltando entre las plantas que están cubiertas de químicos retardadores de fuego. Aparte de esto, están bastante preocupados por su salud, como producto de las quemaduras y del hambre que ha pasado con el desastre.
El equipo de rescate, espera que la madre del pequeño oso no aparezca, pues, de esa manera, podrán sacarlo de esa zona y así poder darle un espacio que resulte idóneo y adecuado para su sano crecimiento.
